Canggu is a coastal village and 10 km beach on the south coast of Bali, north of Seminyak and south of Tanah Lot Indonesia. It lies approximately 10 kilometers north of the hustle and bustle of Kuta and present a much more relaxing atmosphere of dining, cultural and beach activities.
http://lisvingi.blogspot.com/The main Canggu streets are Jalan Batu Bolong, Jalan Padang Linjong, Jalan Batu Mejan and Jalan Tanah Barak.
http://lisvingi.blogspot.com/Along Jalan Batu Bolong you find the temple of the dead, Pura Merajapati, and the Pipitan Cemetery. Along the beach there are two main temples, Pura Batu Bolong and Pura Batu Mejan, which are both hundreds of years old and were initiated for building by Dang Hyang Niratha. The Canggu area used to have scenic views of paddy fields and coconut groves but current rapid developments are quickly replacing these traditional views with private villas.
http://lisvingi.blogspot.com/Canggu proper is a small village on the beach about 20 minutes north of Seminyak, half way to Tanah Lot.
Canggu is widely used though to refer to a large coastal stretch of about 8 km, running north from the village of Berawa (just north of Seminyak) to the village of Cemagi (just south of Tanah Lot) taking in Echo Beach, Seseh and Pererenan along the way.
http://lisvingi.blogspot.com/It is still a largely rural area away from the beaches, but is being developed fast. The beaches have dark grey or black sand and are not particularly good for swimming, but do offer some renowned and challenging surfing spots. The area is popular with many expatriates who choose to live here, and a large number of the villas owned by overseas nationals are located here. Much of the area features quietly undulating terrain with the rice paddies that typify much of south central Bali. Taxis can be hard to find in this area and most travel tends to be by private car or motorcycle.
http://lisvingi.blogspot.com/Consider booking accommodation with a complimentary airport pickup as this is the easiest way to get to Canggu. Very pastoral, Canggu offers a chance to observe the daily rhythms of Balinese village life. Check out the sunset from your perch on a surfboard.
Black sand beaches. Amongst the better beaches in this area are Berawa, Echo Beach and Pererenan. Bali, among other 18 000 islands around Indonesia, is a blissful destination for tourists.
Away from the traffic of any metro city, it attracts tourists due to its historical and religious sites, beaches, subsets, marine world, shopping malls and entertainment centers, as well as animal sanctuaries. Since decades, it has continued to be a tourist heaven, yet in the recent years it has witnessed a surge in touristic traffic. The majority of visitors to Indonesia make it a point to visit Bali, the smallest province of Indonesia, which is often tagged as heavenly. Whatever the interest of tourists might be, they are sure to find it here.

Aside hotels, tourists can find many other accommodations. With the ever-growing number of tourists visiting Bali, there is a corresponding increase in the number of sophisticated villas on the island. Should you desire, you can stay at a private, isolated villa and enjoy the solitude of a home with facilities similar to those of a luxurious hotel. Such villas are spread all over Bali. You can get a beach-side villa to suit your taste, style and budget.

Another feature that attracts travelers to Bali is its nightlife. You can locate any number of clubs, cafes, restaurants and pubs on the main street of Legian. You may enjoy your evening in a beach-side bar, or be a participant in Bali's nightlife, in one of its clubs with a DJ playing. For an eventful evening and amusement, visitors often flock to Seminya and Kuta. You'll enjoy a variety of exquisite foods, with some great music, in the company of hospitable, pleasant people.
Whatever your source of delight might be, you'll find it in Bali!
You can look forward to enjoying water sports like diving, surfing, as well as snorkeling. Undergo an exhilarating marine journey at Tanjung Benoa and Sanur, and you will understand why Bali is simply a delight for divers and surfers. There is no dearth of beaches here.

They spread all over from Canggu, Linggih, Lalang Medewi, Paclang-paclang and Uluwatu to Nusa Lembongan. Two splendid spots for diving are Manggis and Tulamben. Of course, the best way to enjoy Bali is with a local expert, in whose company you can explore the unique places of this God-blessed island.
