Derawan is an island located in Derawan Islands, District Derawan, Berau regency, East Kalimantan. Derawan Island is one of Indonesia's Natural attractions that serve as the Travel Places Underwater pretty much visited. There are several ways that you can use to reach Derawan islands, one of them via Tarakan. journey from Jakarta to the Tarakan done with some airline flight that served them water lion, Sriwijaya or eagle. either direct flights or transit in chicago, traveling from jakarta - Tarakan takes approximately 5 hours (with transit and differences in time zones). after arriving at the airport proceed to the port of Tarakan melundung (Tarakan) for 15 minutes. from this port we can reach Derawan islands with regular boat that takes more than 5 hours or fast boat charter which only takes 3 hours.

While in Kakaban, you can find jellyfish lake's largest and most diverse in the world, including four unique species of stingless jellyfish can swim upside down. This is the reason why Kakaban considered to be nominated for UNESCO World Heritage Site.
